Hurvinek was created to be Spejbl´s sole child. Hurvinek first appeared on stage together with Spejbl in an encore to the evening performance of the comedy "Honest House" by Rudolf Nesvera played in the Pilsen Puppet Theatre on May 2, 1926.
The puppets in this category represent the Czech tradition in puppet making. These are mostly small series cast puppets, which are then hand decorated by sewing and painting.
The present figures of Spejbl and Hurvinek were made in 1964 based on a design of Radko Haken, a famous member of the ensemble. His design added more poetical features to the original grotesque figures.
Please, note that each marionette is an original piece of art and it may slightly differ from the pictures above. For example the clothes or the hair colour may be different, depending on the availability of the materials.
Excellent, beautifully made. Delivery was right on time. Only drama was Indian customs, which was very challenging allow three weeks for Indian customs but not the puppet makers fault.
Excellent. I’m very happy with the puppet.
A very charming marionette with character and graceful movements...
The measurement is incorrect. They're measuring from the puppet's string. They're not measuring the puppet itself, and of course, it's super small and super, super expensive.
Very nice marionette, fast delivery, everything perfect.
