Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra is in his story of The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha introducing the humorous contradiction between reality and illusion. It’s easy to mistake a windmill for monsters.

This marionette is a handmade piece of art. The body and legs are hands carved from wood and his head and hands are from a cast resin. His face is carefully hand-painted.

Don Quichote was a brave wandering knight. He protected the innocent and poor from injustice and he especially liked to help orphans and widows. He dreamt of a  world without lies and grievance, but most of the time he was trying to reach the impossible goal. Don Quichote traveled the world with his faithful friend and armourbearer Sancho Panza. You can find the Sancho Panza marionette on offer as well.
